A Student of Sense and Nonsense

The Humorless Dead

Humor (spotting semi conscious truths that connect us, and make us laugh.) goes when the unconscious connection fades, and as its labido is repressed, it manifests the Trickster Archetype.

Anything worth thinking, or speaking is worth laughing about, or laughing at.

When you have lost the ability to laugh at yourself, or your ideas, you are inviting the Trickster into the objective reality.

One looses this ability when one takes themselves too seriously, pride in one’s self and lack of humility tend to do this.

A very enlightening website. Being a student of life myself, I can relate to the articles. May I request for a comprehensive explanation of this article? I am very interested in the trickster archetype.

      Thank you for Visiting…

The Trickster Archetype can be seen as both a “Saviour” and a Villain; It speaks truths that only a rare few can bare; and fewer still to use what it teaches to for benefit of themselves or society. Usually it will be destructive because people will try to suppress it, instead of hearing it out to learn from it.

A good example of this theme in writing:

      “Who are you then?”
“I am part of that power which eternally wills evil and eternally works good.”

― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Faust, First Part

A good book that I reviews speaks about this archetype, and the author is a known trickster…
