The shift of the center of consciousness away from personality and identification with the Ego and into the Self, corresponds at the sae time to a depersonalization.
p.68 Neumann - Analytical Psychology in Exile
As the Ego-Consciousness is absorbed into the Self, identification shifts with it; thought his poses a danger of inflation. If properly done however, this creates a stable mana-personality.
